Writing American Mobile Number on Resume

Writing American Mobile Number on ResumeA new rule says you cannot write an American mobile number on your resume unless the number is for a business. This is no longer optional, the CSP is really trying to protect you and your privacy. So when you are applying for a job, keep this rule in mind and read the paper. The law states that if the phone number is listed for a business in America, there will be a notation indicating that the number can be used for direct marketing. And the company will not be allowed to put a cell phone number on the resume until after you have applied for the job. Many companies use it to keep track of the number or any other cellphone number that can easily be misused for direct marketing purposes. Also, if a job interview request comes in, they can go through your cell phone for a list of incoming and outgoing calls. They will find out where you live and will know if you would be a good candidate for the job. There is also a law in America that protects your right to privacy as a job applicant. All employers must abide by this, including mobile phone companies. When a potential employee registers with the company, the company must list his or her cell phone number. It is against the law to put that number on the resume if the employee has a cell phone. This applies to other businesses as well. With the passage of time, laws have been passed that ban the use of company cell phone numbers to contact customers, clients, employees and vendors for direct marketing purposes. This is a good thing because many times a resume will come in from a new employee, he or she may be under the influence of alcohol and drugs, or using cell phones without a headset. We all know that cellphones are not safe for long term use, but it does not mean that you cannot use it to keep in touch with family and friends. When you receive a work-related resume, it is imperative that you read it carefully and ask questions to confirm that the job was the position you we re applying for and that you can meet the qualifications.Another way you can protect yourself from future problems is to do some research about the prospective employee and find out his or her work history. You can't read through a resume and find out everything about the person. But you can get some information about the person's background and how they relate to their current employer. When writing the name of the person on the resume or on a cover page that is requesting permission to include a cell phone number, make sure the person listed on the resume is the same person listed on the background check. Then if you have no reason to doubt the person's true identity, you can include his or her phone number on the resume.
